On Sept. 10 we were in Quebec city. This is Bruce's second visit, but the first for the kids. Quebec City has some wonderful historical buildings; the city just celebrated it's 400th anniversary in 2008. We walked around the Citadel de Quebec, the big fort on the St Laurent River, which is HUGE! They have a formal changing of the guards there every day for the tourists, but we missed it by several hours, unfortunately. We also visited the Chateau Frontenac , walked through the old town and bought some French groceries that Suzanne liked. The only fortified city north of Mexico, Québec is a breathtaking collection of wonderful 18th and 19th century architecture.A very pretty and romantic city to see!
