The boys first ride in the subway was in Montreal, Quebec where we spent a day visiting the older part of the original city and the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Bon Secours, which was started by on of the founders of Montreal Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys. She is buried right in the cathedral which the kids found a little weird. We also toured the museum of the first bank in Canada which is on the site of the original building. We then took the subway to an underground mall which is in the heart on the city. The kids saw all the road signs and met people who could speak French only; their years of learning the language actually paid off (sort of :) ).
