Sept. 26th, I picked up Bruce in Manchester and our next stop was in Boston, Massachusetts where we walked The Freedom Trail. This is a trail that has been mapped out throughout the city of Boston that walks you through some of the most historic sights of Boston including: Boston Common, The Massachusetts State House, Park Street Church, The Grainary Burying Ground, King's Chapel, Boston Latin School, Old Corner Bookstore, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Boston Massacre site, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House, Old North Church and the USS Constitution. Of course we had to take a short detour off the trail to visit the Cheers Bar, which is the fictional site of the old sit-com of the same name. We traveled to Boston on the train and on the way back the conductor loaned his hat to the boys for a picture. The three mile walk took most of the day, but well worth it. I would love to return to Boston. A real interesting city!
